Latin name: Leucanthemum vulgare
Sometimes called the 'dog daisy' or 'Marguerite' after the French princess
who adopted it as her official emblem. Ox-eye daisies can be found on
roadside verges and grassland throughout Britain. The plants grow to a
height of around 70cms, and were once used as a remedy for chest problems.
The flowers, which are about 5cms across, appear between June and August.
