Who will be able to see my advert at "UK Safari"?

Any of the millions of people throughout the world with a computer connected to the Internet. Potential customers can access your details 24 hours a day, 365 days a year from anywhere in the world.

Do I need to be connected to the Internet?

No, you don’t even need a computer. You can choose to have your Internet customers contact you in the usual way by telephone, fax or post. If you have an e-mail address this can make it easier for people to contact you directly from your web page, but it’s not vital.

If I book a full page, what will my web address look like?

You’ll receive a unique web address, which will be "www.uksafari.com/yourname" Where it says "yourname" you simply choose whatever you’d like to be called. The shorter the address the easier it is to remember.

Can people still see my web page if they don’t know my web address?

Yes, Internet users will be able to find your page by looking through our index pages. You can also register your page with the main search engines to make your page more popular and easier to find. Search engines are web pages that enable you to find sites by typing in key words or phrases.

How long will my advert remain on the "UK Safari" site?

You can leave your advert at "UK Safari" for as long as you wish. The payment you make with your booking covers a full 12 months of hosting. At the end of the 12 months you can choose to renew, update, expand or cancel your entry.

What should I say in my advert?

A basic advert just requires your business name, address and phone number. In order to attract more visitors, you should add a short paragraph clearly describing your facilities and telling potential customers all about your organisation. Avoid putting information that will soon be out of date. You should include your opening times and any admission charges/prices, as well as all your contact information, including your e-mail and web address if applicable.

The maximum recommended number of words for a full page entry is 500, although you may be able to say what you want to say in much less. If you prefer you can send us your brochure or flyer and we can adapt it for your web page.

Can I update my entry?

Yes, you can make up to three amendments each year absolutely free of charge. In the unlikely event that you need to make more changes, a £10 fee is charged for each additional update to the wording of a page.

What size photo should I send?

A good quality 6" x 4" colour print is fine. If you don’t have one available we can scan a photo from your brochure.

Can I add more web pages?

Yes, each additional page is linked to the first page and can have up to 500 words and one photo. Please see the booking form for the latest prices.

Can I add more photographs to my full page entry?

Yes you can, but as you add more photographs your page will take longer to download over the Internet. If you keep the pictures small this will not be a problem, but if you want to use large photographs it is better to put them on separate web pages. Please see the booking form for the latest prices.
